          SEASONS

It was Summer when you were born,
the world was at its best.
Like the sun smiling brightly,
glowing to everyone.
Like the flowers in full bloom,
under the great blue sky.
Like the wind that blows sweetly
on a mid-summer day,
you were out to see the world.

How wonderful is it to live,
when all the love you ever need
is what the world gives you back.
And everything seems to be
where they should be.
Like the birds in the sky
and the waves in the sea,
you learn how to love.

But Fall came over you,
everything was not what it seemed to be.
The leaves turned dry and began to fall.
The world lost its colors and became dull.
You reached out, but nobody’s there.
And you’re hurting.

Where is the happiness you once knew?
Not a little love that you could get,
not even a single prayer for you.
Everything was falling apart.
You want to hold it, control it,
But you don't know how.

Yet, much to your surprise,
you found the light.
It is shining within you,
inside your heart.
Then you cried,
and down on your knees you prayed.
You found the hope
 that is always within you,
in the dark and Wintery times.

But you know that Spring will come,
a birth of a new you.
Like the flowers bloom in the morning mist,
Like the leaves sprouting in tree branches,
the grass swiftly growing over fields,
you are brave to face the world.

And you are not afraid,
for hope is a promise of the spring.
Faith has taught you to believe.
It has taught you to forget the past,
but carry its lessons.
For its learnings make you what you are.

There are seasons of love,
of sadness and of hope.
Seasons will change,
and so will you.
As you journey through life each day,
each season is a revelation of yourself,
what makes you laugh,
what makes you cry,
you strengths and your weaknesses.
Like the seasons that come and go.
